Let me bust your myth right now. Rios didn't lose to Abril cause of the weight. Rios looked the same vs Murray and was able to beat him. Why didn't he beat Abril? Cause the dude had no answer for the jab or the philly shell. As well as Abril's reach and boxing ability.

Abril looks fragile as **** at 135. At 140 he would be more filled and would be able to take a better punch for sure too.

Weight was a big factor. I expect a different outcome at 140. Rios by TKO.

Abril looked in zero danger at any point of that fight, and Rios looked to have zero clue about how exactly to put Abril in danger.

          I don't see why that changed~

He took Rios to school even though he was a lightweight

If the ref decides to enforce the rules than rios wins by disqualification

lol @ guys indulging their fantasies by pretending that 5lbs completely flips everything on it's head. In fact, I thought Rios didn't even make weight so it wouldn't even be 5lbs of difference. Such delusion.. .

Weight was a problem. Rios fought boxers before abril, like acosta.
Was it Rios fault? yes it was. But to say weight wasnt a factor is just being naive.

Rios would get outboxed. What happened in the ring that night wasn't the signs of a man who was weight drained it was the signs of a man who lacked the boxing ability to crack another's defense.

Of course it was a big factor, Rios didn't try to make the weight and loss his belt because of that, he took advantage of the whole thing... I'm glad Abril ***** slap him at the Versailles and then frustrate his a$$ fight night.
