Styles make fights! A Brawler Slugger dont always win over a Boxer. A Slick Boxer doesnt always win over a Slugging Brawler! Both are dangerous in own way! I pick a Brawler with a steel chin and power in punches and stamina to go wide open for 12 . Over a running slipping pot shot feather fisted boring fighter any day!
140 Cotto vs 140 rios who wins?

Its the amount of threads that open up whenever someone has a good win. The guy was given a boxing lesson just two fights ago and then fights someone who'll be there to hit, now there is Bam Bam v. XXXXX threads allover. These threads that pop up ad nauseum is what overrates a fighter, and then when he gets an eventual loss, it's like he'll crash and burn in the eyes of fandom because people prop an athlete up just off of one winComment

This isnt one of those thread buddy. Its a fantasy/toss up fight imo. No ones claiming something the fighters are not, in this thread atleast. Its the amount of threads that open up whenever someone has a good win. Rios has one good win over a contender at 140. Cotto was a proven champ at 140 and KOed 6 of the 7 guys he fought in 140 pound tittle fights. I doubt that Rios could walk through his punches. Rios is tough but not bullet proof. A bum put him down twice in the first round early in his career and others have rocked him too. He never fought a guy that hits as hard as Cotto. Maybe later I'll change my mind if Rios shows me more. For now I think the young 140 pound champion Cotto was to fast, to skillful, and hit to hard for a fighter who blocks punches with his face. Cotto by KO. I know Rios hits hard and sets a fast pace so he could win by KO himself. I have to go with the more proven fighter with the better skills.Comment
