  • Time to leave Audley alone..

For around 10 of his 12 years as pro the man has been roundly booed, insulted, verbally abused and treated like a criminal, i don’t deny being a part of that either, but enough is enough.

Big Auld won an Olympic Gold medal for our country, something no GB boxer had done in years. He tried to go it alone in the pro-ranks and simply came unstuck. He kept coming back, and if we feel fool-some for falling for his chat then only ourselves are to blame. Her is the best salesman in boxing!

But on Saturday night i genuinely feared for his health, he was knocked out in an utterly sick fashion and the time has now come to end this chapter and move onto the next.

Big Audley, on that night in Sydney you made me – and THE WHOLE NATION – completely proud of you, I’ll personally never, ever forget that night, and nor should the rest of the Brits on here. YOU WERE AMAZING.

No time for bad mouthing now. Well done mate. Your career might not have hit the heights we’d all hoped for, but it was certainly not diluted for drama!

A-force has left the building, and British boxing, indeed HW boxing in general, will be a lot less interesting because of it.

Maybe Britain should stop encouraging him.

You know when a fight with Haye is considered a Superfight" that you guys are just plain suckers

When Fraudley leaves the sport alone, I'll leave him alone.

He's a leech on the sport of boxing. ****ing bum.

I don't agree with the first post because you're doing exactly what Audley does and that's to go back 12 years and use his performance at the Games as some sort of proof of a great legacy. He always used the Games as justification of his worth and value. He constantly referred back to that achievement and regurgitated it over and over again to the point of redundancy.

That achievement was a base to build off, but Audley failed to do it. There's no need to keep giving him credit and reinforcing his over-inflated opinion of himself. He's rinsed that meal ticket dry and it's time to accept the reality that Audley never was, and never will be, a world class boxer. I don't dislike the guy, wish him the best, but in the world of pro boxing he'll always be a nobody.

Might be more convincing if you didn't call him a her

Love supposed boxing fans shi**ing on a boxer just because he isn't as good as he thinks he is. At least backs up his delusions by getting in the ring and facing the consequences.

Most the people on this site haven't seen the sun in 3 days. They have no right to criticise someone for doing something he loves.

Audley is what he is. A millionaire, gold medallist, who's belief in himself is something remarkable despite his limitations. That and he would most likely KO 100% of the posters on this website.

i'm from canada & if it wasn't for audley harison then the gov't wouldn't have soaked any funding into amateur boxing in england. all the medalists won by english fighters in the last few olympics can thank audley harrison. if it wasn't for his gold medal there would be no funding for amateur boxing period.
