Comments Thread For: Kellerman: Donaire Creeping up on Pacquiao's P4P Rank

On Saturday night, inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, junior featherweight champion Nonito Donaire scored a 9th stoppage over former titlist Toshiaki Nishioka while Brandon Rios carved out a 7th round TKO over Mike Alvarado in an electrifying co-feature.

Taking in the action from ringside, HBO analyst Max Kellerman shared his thoughts with me on the evening’s proceedings shortly after the action had wrapped up.

    I agree with Max.

    I have Pacquaio #3, Donaire #4.

If Pacquaio loses to Marquez then I'll switch them.

Pac shoudn't even be in the top 5.

However what do you expect to happen when pac hasn't fought and beat any top WW or JMW's? I mean really, 3 back to back fights vs guys who had to move up in weight?

Pac couldn't even dominate JMM after 3 fights and according to the judges little Bradley with no power gave Pac a boxing lesson. As the pac-tarts liked to say, just look at Bradley's face. Just watch in super duper extra long lasting slo-mo. "Pac-tarts, why you no slo-mo?"

Like I said for years, Pac hasn't accomplished **** since beating Cotto back in 2009 which is EXACTLY why he wanted Cotto again (at a catchweight) and was in fact his first choice (not Mayweather).

So again, it's not hard to see why Pac is in fact not top 4 or even 5 P4P. Other fighters who have accomplished more in the past few years are more deserving than the overly hyped Pac who's not even fighting fighters in his own weight class..... That is not P4P nor is it fighting the best.

And you don't even have the balls to say that you agree or disagree with this and are trying to use it as some sort of argument. ***ing LAME.

Donaire was seriously impressive last night. If he beats the Mares/Moreno winner or Rigo next, I may put him over Pac.

i think he already surpassed Pac. Donaire has been dominating the competition and fighting the best at each weight class as he goes. He's never had a "gift win" and completely DOMINATES his opponents.

Donaire already has a better resume at 118-122 than Pacquiao at 140-147

This idiot saying that Manny lost to Bradley that shows that you don't know boxing.look I'm a may weather fan but is there is a fighter as great as Floyd is PAC and ward so there is no reason to move PAC from the ranks unless he losses for real not by a robbery..
