Good call.....
Alvarado vs Rios a premature stoppage?

I was pissed about the stoppage cause Alvarado was in the middle of a clinch attempted and the ref jumped in to separate and stop the fight. When I saw the scorecards I took a deep breath then told myself, Alvarado was ****ed from the minute this fight was signed. Scorecards were already filled. So yea, after seeing those cards the stoppage is irrelevant IMO.Comment

Just rewatched the last round and it was a very good stoppage. If you look at Alvarado, he was out.
His hands were down, maybe not all the way down but they weren't up. He clearly didn't know where he was at and if you watch closely, Rios lands a clean left hand that basically just freezes Alvarado at the very end.
He just saved him from getting knocked out cold.Comment

If it happened a couple rounds earlier i would have said it should have played out a little longer. The fight was fought at an incredible pace though and Alvarado was getting sloppy and very fatigued. Letting it go longer at that point could be dangerous.Comment

ref should've given him a lil more time given alvarado is tough as nails..Comment

I thought it was an early call but not necessarly a bad one. I've seen alot worse this year. Actually if Alvarado went down one of those times the ropes held him up, he would have gotten a few seconds to clear his head. But staying there taking punches gave the referee little choice.Comment
