good stopage imo...alvarado went kinda limp, he would have just layed on the ropes eating bombs

he didn't go limp. He looked at the ref expecting a standing 8 count, then he put his hands back up.

There seems to have been some confusion. I think Alvarado was expecting a standing 8 count, he was just kind of waiting there. The ropes held him up so it should have been ruled a knockdown.

It is not for a guy who get hit dizzy while already up against the ropes.
It is for when a guy gets hit dizzy away from the ropes and stumbles back in to the ropes

What I meant was that Alvarado would have went down but the ropes held him up. Which means the ref should have called it a kd.

after watching two replays i say premature.

it was a good stopage. as far as a standing 8 count goes, why would alvarado be looking to the ref for the count? he should have took a knee; if so, all of this discussion about premature stoppage wouldn't be relevant.
