People forget that Mares know how to cut of the ring and really put you in a bad spot. Moreno has never faced anyone like mares. Mares will finally get the recognition he deserves

man was I wrong on this one! I didn't think Mares had the skill to win this-WRONG! I thought Morenos hand speed and coordination would be the deciding factor here- WRONG! Mares impressed me and won clearly

Moreno has been fighting decent opposition for a while and he has some very good wins which tend to get overlooked.
He is far from a guy whose only beaten one decent opponent in Darchinyan.

The only reason Mares is so hot is because of that little tournament where he arguable lost to both Darchinyan & Agbeko (1st fight) and got a draw against Perez who never was ****. Eric Morel just got smashed to bits by Leo Santa Cruz.
See how easy that was to flip the script?

Moreno takes a decision for me, in an easier fight than expected.
Now, do you give Donaire credit for beating Sydorenko? In much easier and dominant fashion?

Whilst Sydorenko is very small and was at the tail end of his career (34/35 with over 300 amateur fights), yeah I give him credit for flattening him.

I do have to state though, I don't think Sydorenko really translated as a pro and feel he had a fair few dodgy decision wins.
Taking nothing away from Donaire, he won impressively.

I also give Mares credit for beating Moreno who I thought was better technically & would take a close U.D, solid win & I'm sure Moreno can bounce back.
