That's nothing...Floyd feed the poor. He also paid for Fraizer funeral.

good post, I didn't know about that story. He's not my favorite like yours, but no doubt Paulie is one of the best dudes in boxing.I have a number of favorites, but ill go ahead say Paulie Malignaggi.
A boxer with virtually no power, who has to win every single one of his fights solely on skill and grit. Always takes the hard fights. Isn't afraid to talk ****, but is always been classy in defeat and doesn't make excuses.
I mean, how many times has the guy been written off? Showed heart of the highest order against Miguel Cotto. Was supposed to be an easy fight for Juan Diaz. He was supposed to become a Golden Boy gatekeeper after the Khan loss, and then he walked into an undefeated, Roach-trained champions back yard and stopped him.
Lastly, the article about Paulie giving his title belt to the family of a murdered kid who boxed, so he could be buried a champion, really solidified Paulie to me as one of the best guys in boxing. And you know what's so great about it? There's no photos. No video. He didn't bring a TV crew or announce it on his twitter as some self-serving tool to promote himself.
Hats off to the Magic Man. A real ****ing champion.
I remember seeing him while waiting for a Pac weigh-in to start and he was just hanging around shaking a few hands here and there, until he started to get noticed by some fans and then more people and more and more. I know some of the people knew who he was, but there were plenty who didn't know his name, just that he must be a popular boxer and wanted to meet him anyway. He must have stood in the same spot for about 40 minutes shaking every hand, signing every autograph, and taking every picture someone asked him for. He went way above and beyond, the line of people got pretty ridiculous..but he engaged everyone like a real dude
after that, seeing tons of his fights, and watching the "Magic Man" doc I always hope he does good.Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 10-02-2012, 12:48 AM.Comment

Try watching KO Dynamite (The guy in my AV). He's really does throw deadly shots.
As for favorite? I dunno, I want Hozumi Hasegawa to fight some more. He needs to work on his defense but his offense is poetry in motion. Yota Sato is also another guy I love watching fight.Comment

The man in my av.
He's simply a tremendous fighter. Everything I love about the sport, he has it. Skill, frightening speed, power, grit, a real fighting mentality. He doesn't do a lot of talking, he doesn;t get much media attention....he just goes out and dominates anyone put in front of him.Comment

I say this hesitantly, because my favorite fighters tend to do ****** stuff when I become a fan, but Andre Ward is my favorite right now.
It was Pac, but he lost me the last couple of years, though I'm still a fan. It would be Bradley if he hadn't ducked Khan.Comment
