De La Hoya should come back and fight Cotto on Cinco De Mayo weekend anyway. Have a super undercard, main event DLH-Cotto, co-main event Canelo-Lara, Trout-Kirkland, and then a lower weight class fight.

This is NOT an easy fight for Miguel. Now, if he brings the fight to Trout and gives him the same jab and pressure that he gave Floyd, then Trout may be in for a surprise.

Trout has the ability to make a fight boring, so hopefully Miguel doesn't get caught in the middle of that BS (having a dull fight).

He needs to do what he can to knock Trout out, or at least drop him. If (or when he beats Trout), he should tell Oscar and Canelo to kiss his ass, and he should look for a Martinez fight (if Sergio can make the weight).

That way, Canelo and his protector (Oscar) can move on. Canelo can fight Trout, its not like he isn't used to fighting leftovers or dead bodies anyway.

He should be embarrassed that Miguel took a Trout fight before him, lol.

Not even close. Canelo is a more winnable fight for far more money. Mexico vs PR eclipses all other rivalries, and I wouldnt be surprised if Cotto-Canelo did 750k buys or more.

Plus it would be a more entertaining fight. No disrespect to Cotto but I think it would be one sided for Martinez. Cotto-Canelo next May, and the winner can fight Floyd or maybe Martinez then.

cotto has won everyone of his fights when up against undefeated fighters, except for mayweather. cotto will eat trout up like steamed fish. pretty much trout's only advantage is his bigger size and longer reach. cotto wins by UD or late tko.
