Let's keep it real, NO opponent would get him ready for Cotto. NOTHING can get him ready for the almost-tangible electricity that will be in the MSG that night. He has to step in that ring with a confident demeanor, have respect for what Cotto brings but never allow that respect to turn into fear/hesitancy. Trout seems to a very grounded guy from what I've heard from him in interviews, he will relish the moment and will be coming to win.

Bradley had experience fighting in front of biased crowds (Witter, Alexander), he had experience surviving a KD and then going on to win the fight (Holt). But, none of that could've prepared him for what he had to endure against Pacquiao, no equivalent.

If Trout ain't pressuring or accurately counter punching he ain't beating Miguel Cotto.

Trout is a bum. He had to hug Canelo's brother all the time in order to win by points. He fought bums like Foreman, Mayorga, and the Irish dude but when Canelo, Chávez, Márquez or any Mexican, all hell breaks loose. Cotto is a coward. So is Floyd.

How did Marquez get into the discussion? Plus, Cotto already stated his interest in fighting Canelo. He's taking the harder route by fighting Trout first.

Change your post, you look ****** by saying that Chávez was going to KO Martínez. Well he did but was able to stand up. But Chávez even without training and partying almost killed him.

I agree nothing will prepare him for the atomosphere that night, I meant more like opponent's style he's faced will prepare him for Cotto. His biggest fight against Rodriguez, knowing a chance to face Canelo was on the line, he fought safety first and hesitant. Cotto brings a lot more to the table than Rodriguez does. Trout has all the physcial advantages, but he's never been in a FIGHT. I think Cotto will bring that to him and I'm not sure how he handles it.

cotto will have a handful when he faces trout in dec 1. he's one tough customer. trout's undefeated record does speak for itself but cotto has proven himself many times against better fighters in the super welterweight division. both are very technical boxers but i give the edge to cotto. he has faced many undefeated fighters in the past have won every single time, except for the mayweather fight. cotto has the experience and i see him winning by UD, that is if trout is able to absorb cotto's left hand power shots. if not, then he might get ko'ed in the late rounds.

Trout needs to quit smoking weed, he's not aggressive enough.
