Ok. So one question. If the 1 pound doesn't make a difference, why did PAC demand the one pound?

No proof Margarito cheated in the first fight. Should blame his incompetent corner for not watching his hands get wrapped.

Shows how delusional he is if he thought he won the Mayweather fight.
With millions of dollars on the line for the fight did you really expect Cotto to say that making weight was killing him in training camp leading up to the fight?

Of course he had to put his words out but still, he can't be saying "They tried to gain an advantage over him" when just less than a year ago he was asking Margarito to come down in weight for a rematch or no possible fight. Its the same BS. I get the point to the interview and making sure everyone is clear for the reason the fight not happening but I guess Im critiquing his actions. He chose to play the weight game in the Margs negotiations so he should expect the same game played back at him.....Thats just how I see it.

However making 154 Cotto has looked strong.. so maybe in general making 154 he was draining himself... so maybe a fight at 154 will be different & manny is trying to drain him a little. Pacquiao is notorious for that.
In my opinion, Cotto hasn't fought any of the top 154 lb fighters. He's beaten: Yuri Foreman, Ricardo Mayorga, Antonio Margarito, and Floyd Mayweather.

Foreman is totally featherfisted and had a hurt knee. Mayorga has been shot for years. Margarito is shot and has never had any success at 154. Floyd isn't a 154 lber. Until Cotto gets in the ring against a real top 154 lber, I'll reserve judgment as to how effective he can be at this weight. I think Trout is going to hand Cotto his ass.

who gives a chit, Margarita was going UP in weight from his previous fight with manny. Same thing can be said to Margarita, he fought manny at 150 why can't he fight Miguel at 150?

The weights Pacquiao has used in his fights.. have benefited him & just him... even De La Hoya fight was at 47 which Oscar hadnt made in 10 years..... Pacquiao knows what he is doing asking for this catchweights and not budging. It is what it is & if the other guy agrees with it.. then dont cry about it... Cotto was going for it this time.. so Kudos to him.

I understand you point so no need for me to argue it, I hate catchweights because its just boxer looking for advantages or handicaps etc, I dont even want to seem like am making excuses for Cotto at all, cant stand catchweights.

if anyone knows anything about being on a diet. we all know as soon as we lose a single pound of our weight , we just crumble to the ground and dived down and dirty into a fetal position and cry real loud.

trust me its happened to me b4, i like to think im tougher than miguel cotto even i cuddnt handle that ****. thats was tough.

well we both agree on the topic. I too hate catchweights. Especially when its for a title.
