I think that if a fighter can't make weight in a certain division, then he has no business fighting at that weight or competing for that title. If a catch weight is involved, then it should have one fighter going up and one going down. That way both fighters are making a sacrifice and the playing field is more even. I like Pacquiao but the whole "8 division" thing is a gimmick and should have an asterisk associated.

Julio Cesar Chavez v. Pernell Whitaker--Chavez insisted on 145 and got it.
Sugar Ray Leonard v. Danny Lalonde--Leonard insisted on 167 for Lalonde's 175 lb belt (really?)
Roy Jones Jr. v. Tito Trinidad--Tito insisted on 170 lbs for this and got it.
Oscar De La Hoya v. Bernard Hopkins--158 lbs at De La Hoya's insistence
Henry Armstrong v. Lew Jenkins--140 (7 under the welterweight limit) at Jenkins' insistence.
Pac - Cotto
Pac - DLH (not really a catchweight but same principal, bigger fighter coming down/smaller fight coming up)
Pac - Mosley (originally wanted at 142 Mosley said kickrocks)
Pac - Marg
pac - Cotto 2 (Cotto says sucka bag of ****s)

Foreman is totally featherfisted and had a hurt knee. Mayorga has been shot for years. Margarito is shot and has never had any success at 154. Floyd isn't a 154 lber. Until Cotto gets in the ring against a real top 154 lber, I'll reserve judgment as to how effective he can be at this weight. I think Trout is going to hand Cotto his ass.

Cotto didn't want to embarrase himself for doing the moonwalk for 6+ rounds again
The truth is that if the fight was made at 154, it would benifit Pac even more than at 150 cuz Cotto's speed would look like he was stuck in molasses compared to Pacs and speed kills

He didn't seem to mind about going down in weight when he asked Margarito for a catchweight in their rematch...
