khan is aiming to align himself for a mayweather or pacquiao shot.. he only needs 2 or 3 good wins at welterweight to make it happen next year and going for the interim sets him up as a mandatory for the malignaggi rematch and wba title.. its a good move in theory but chaves is no joke, khan should be considered the underdog at this stage.
