    377 tickets to 2439 tickets.
    $65,675 to $209,175.

Those aren't just 'mistakes' or a slip of the tongue. The discrepancy is way to big to fall under 'mistake' and more into 'spin territory'. That's the kind of stuff that makes people question your competency.

It's like saying you went all the way with a girl, but in reality you only made it to first base.

That's terrible but u to have realize there wasnt a venue until less than 3 weeks before the fight. Plus the main event was dropped one week before Sept.8th. Of Course it may fail you need to promote the event especially when It's not popular fighters to the general public.

Well...lets be honest...CASUALS have no fukin clue who these guys are then neither of them was American or Mexican or Rican...So it was kinda "SETUP TO FAIL" and having it the same Weekend as Ward vs Dawson which had WAY MORE PROMOTION really did not help

This just is more evidence proving that unless you are a superstar, you have no business headling boxing events in Las Vegas. I'll never understand why promoters just put fighters that don't have followings in casinos, where most of the tickets end up getting comped. GBP has a heck of a talent in Matthysse and instead of actually trying to build their figther's "brand", they'd rather just have him fight in front of high rollers who have no idea who the fck he is, on top of not paying to see him, instead of actual fans who pay for their tickets.

Really depressing. It's a shame that the qualities we want to value - talent, heart, even just level of entertainment! - have nothing to do with ticket sales.

I enjoyed that fight far more than Ward/Dawson (not to downplay Ward's victory). Seemed more competitive to me. Ajose was clearly losing rounds but fought back like a champ. I'm really hoping to see more of him around.

...and Matthysse. I won't even get started because I'd hate to sound like a fan boy.

So that means only 377 were gonna go watch Bailey-Alexander? Poor Matthysse he was fighting Ajose.

Ricky should do a bum of the month run at the MEN - dude is a Rock Star. He could fight his milkman, his barber, his driver, and the pizza delivery boy and sell 18,000 tickets each time.
it's funny 'cos matthysse would absolutely beat the breaks off hatton.

Really too bad because Matthysse is a stud and put in a great performance and Ajose showed a ton of balls. Both guys deserve better, and Matthysse deserves a good title fight at home in Argentina
