Pretty much FOTY or FOTY candidate everytime he steps between the ropes. I dont know why people wouldnt like that but I guess that just irritates some people.

He clearly isn't, otherwise he would not have become world champion or even earned a world title shot.

As a fan of the sport I'm disappointed at your lack of respect for what he has achieved Larry, you'd kill to be half the boxer he is.

I like Maidana a lot, and that last fight showed that he's willing to experiment with his style a little, i respect that. He's entertaining, might not take much science to do what he does, but he still tries to leave it in the ring every-time. He's hard-nosed, very stubborn in there, you gotta gain his respect for him to give it back. And he doesn't mind getting dirty as well lol, he's a good example of a FIGHTER.

What I never understand is why people just can't appreciate what some of these guys bring?..

So he doesn't have Pacquiao's speed, or Mayweather's defense, or Broner's charisma, or whatever it is you're looking for..

We ALL saw him get up from the Ortiz fight in the first round to make Ortiz his son seconds later..the 2 body shots he got up from the Khan fight solidified his hunger and his heart and this last fight with Soto Karass was exciting as hell!..people wanna dissect everyone instead of just enjoying some good classic WARS..because guess what..Mickey Ward was limited, Gatti was limited, Corrales was limited, and the list could go on forever..

and they gave us CLASSICS!!!!!! just sit back and enjoy!

He might be less skill than plenty of boxers, but he has more cojones and heart than most. Specially more heart than a bunch of highly rated fighters in this forum.
