I like Martinez but who has beat that made him this great BOXER? Who has he seen that is anywhere close to Floyd's skill level? And dude beat me to it but what does Floyd gain for beating Martinez at 154??? Everyone will say it shoulda been at 160. It's pointless though I wouldn't mind seeing the fight. If u don't believe Floyd figures him out by round 3, 6 at the latest, then u have not watched Floyd's fights. What gameplan does Sergio use that hasn't been tried already? Sergio is good but not impressive. Im not even sure he could beat cotto. I could understand why people thought manny could beat him even though I never thought so. Also, I've never seen anyone look the same against Floyd as they did in their other fights. They just never look as good when they get in there with money. This is just a lot of wishful thinking that Sergio is "The One"

Dogg your doing a lot of talking and hating... who is your favorite fighter?? Have they ever lost are been knocked out?? Have you ever fought before?? I think not. But fact is Floyd is 43-0 who has a better resume than him active. Who has Martinez beat that's more impressive than Floyd? Fact is he should be fighting Andre Ward, at 164 or 168 why aren't people talking about that fight?? Because they wanna see Floyd face a bigger guy and possibly lose. But Sergio should fight Ward since he likes fighting bigger guys, Chavez weighed much more than Ward would on fight night, so that is not an excuse. M'****as know Ward would tap Martinez so they say "we hate Mayweather" lets say Floyd is afraid of him. Now say they do fight at 154. First thing people will say is "Oh he had to beat him at a catch weight." Not even a feel good win. And if that is not an excuse, they will use age as a factor. "Oh he waited until Martinez turned 38" So how much does he have to gain if people will come up with an excuse why he won. Floyd should fight Pac or Canelo, Canelo at this point is a much tougher fight for him anyway.

He wouldn't weigh in at 144 for Marquez, he's never weighed near 144 at welterweight, but that's his best weight.

I wouldn't either in my first fight back after 2 years off, not to mention the fact the "MARQUEZ CHALLENGED FLOYD" just like Dawson challenged Ward. Floyd has weighed 146 in every fight since then besides his fight with Cotto. I think Floyd can get down to 42-44 but he may feel better fighting around 46. Well under the jr.middle-wt division. I know the dude is good but if he could fight Martinez why not just put him in with Ward. Im sure haters would love to see that but REAL BOXING FANS wanna see Floyd at his best fighting fighters within his range (140-154) at their best even though 54 is stretching it.

Why in the world would anyone be interested in seeing Floyd fight at middleweight, outside from it being a spectacle? The article mentions that people are interested in seeing this fight at 160 - who are these people? I don't buy it...

So funny....I guess the mayweathers are back on that bull****. I love floyd but here we go w/ this again. I floyd has been sparring w/ LH's & cruisers his whole life how in hell can't he fight a jr MW? Especially since he's fought 2 already?? DLH & Cotto...& really 3 if u count the fact that shane was campaigning there b4. & now wants to propose a fight w/ canelo. I mean it's just ridiculous. How u gon be the best in the world & just blatently do **** like that. Why don't they just say sergio is too fast...too strong & too dangerous to fight. He fights LHs and cruisers but wont fight Pac a flyweight, and now wont fight Sergio as well, the excuses keep coming quick and fast with the mayweathers. Floyd really should have stayed retired if he wont challenge himself.

I mean Floyds resume gets criticised all the time, and in Sergio he can face the best fighter hes ever fought, and he dont seem to want to do it? How Floyd thinks really is a mystery.

Ok the test could have been a smoke green who knows? Point being is that in fact if Mayweather was using PED's as an excuse to avoid Pac, Pac should have called his bluff and take random blood testing and quiet the critics. I really can't say if Pac is/was juicing but if he would've took the test and May backed out then ok. And the money issue is real, because Pacquiao would never let another fighter not named Mayweather at this point get a higher purse than him. And Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in sports this year so he feels he deserves the lions share. At this point it is all about ego's crashing, and if Pac gets past Marquez they will fight for sure. I mean as a fan I respect both fighters, but when dudes keep calling a guy who fights for a living a "coward" I mean its like for real? But with that being said, Pac will be a Hall of Famer, Mayweather will be a hall of famer, and would some of the best stats in boxing history, that's something that can not be taking away. And if he fights once or twice more, and wins will go down as one of the greatest fighters in history.

For the first time in a long time I agree with Sr. Floyd can make 140 but I think his best weight is about 142-144 cause Floyd is a small welter-wt. Floyd CAN beat everybody @ 154 but that's really out of his range. The only way a PBF/Martinez fight should happen is if Floyd challenges him. Martinez doesn't even wanna come down to 54 to face Cotto (who I feel would be too small for him). Alvarez is a big jr.middle-wt so I can see that fight @ 56-57. The real fight for Martinez is Ward @ 164/165 cause if Martinez is weighing 176 30 days before fight time then he should be fighting Ward.

So first, his best weight is 142-144. And now you "think" he can get down to his aforementioned best weight of 142-144, but he feels better fighting at a weight that doesn't suit him (because he's always looking to challenge himself?). Yes, this makes a lot of sense
