While a knockout is always exciting, I have no problem watching a technician ply his craft. That is what the Sweet Science is all about..I understand that with Pac's limited skills that he pretty much has to rely on knockouts, and the fact that he has the power to accomplish that SOMETIMES says good things about him since there is very little a fighter can do to improve his level of power..youre either born with it or your not; just like a good chin. But, skill is something else all together...it can be worked on and improved, and if Pac would work on that he'd be a force to reckon with (I've posted that many times).
See, I can post my reply without insulting you and/or your intelligence....referring to your remark about me actually watching the fight; what the hell do you think I'm doing while I'm sitting there in front of the tv?
Like I said, it's one thing to have the power to knock someone out..but I like it when a fighter has the skills and talent to outbox his opponet too. Boxing is not all about ko's...every once in a while, a boxer is forced to actually BOX, and I, unlike you , have no problem with that..no problem at all.
First of all. I am not insulting you or your intelligence, it is not my nature to insult nobody, I am just wondering why you can't tell who the crowd is booing when you are actually watching it. Number two - "why did you say unlike you" I don't have no problem with boxers who boxed when they are forced to box either, and you are correct these types of boxers have the skills and talents. But then again I disagree with your understanding of Pacman's limited skills. His fight with Barrera will attest to that. I am not discrediting Marquez, I consider him one of Mexico's best ( although see Rafael to be better than him). Nice exchanging post with you.

First, Pac's display of skills against Barrera amounted to raw speed and power, which did not "attest" to anything. Roach has all but agreed with that summary of Pac's performance. Both Roach and Pac were happy to see the same combo working beautifully against Barrera. Pac needed very little more than his excellent speed and left hand power. Pac did not reuqire any particularly impressive range of skills other that than limited approach. It was the recipe required for that night against that fighter. Nothing more.

Fast forward to JMM and we see pac offering the same head movement and combos, without any variation all night long. That lack of adjustment/skill cost him the fight. I expect that Pac will show-up with something else in the rematch, otherwise the boxer JMM will decision the speedy and powrful Pac.

Pac didn't need anything more than to annihilate and embarass MAB in fact of his adoring fans. His style is just no match to MAB's boxing/counterpunching/slugging styles any of which he doesn't mastered to perfection. I hope Pac comes in ready and 100% so he can belie what the critics don't know or know little about him and his abilities in the ring.

True. His style was more than enough to topple Barrera.

I hope that both Pac and Marquez are truly 100% for the rematch. We deserve it. Right before Pac-MAB bout, Barrera told Merchant he was "ready", which should be expected from any fighter a few days before a big fight. But, Barrera's training interruptions were in fact limiting his preparation.

I expect that Pac and Marquez will be ready, with no excuses. Then, all that will remain will be the judges cards, if we need them.

If you do not see Pacman's speed and power as skill, then what does Barrera have?, What does JMM have? Pac did not require any particular imopressive range of skills?, Barrera was beaten in all department. Speed, power, footwork... what else do you want to see? Against JMM-lack of adjustment maybe, but cetainly not lack of skill. And by the way, he did not lose that fight. Now to be able for us fight fans to see who is really the better fighter, can somebody please tell JMM to sign the contract and lets get it on?
