Serious question. How is Martinez/Floyd the same as Martinez/Ward?

The fact that canelo may get $8 mil to fight floyd pisses BUsh off more than anything. He loathes the fact that Canelo is on HBO and he hasn't beaten anyone credible. The only thing that would piss him off more is if floyd fought JCC at 160 or if Broner got a floyd fight.

      Ok lets get this straight.

Floyd fought a past prime DLH at 154. DLH best weights were at 140 and 147, he was never good past 147. And then he fought Cotto at 154, again Cotto fought his entire career at or under 147. Cotto fought a completely destroyed and broken Margarito at 154 (after taking career ending beatings from Mosley and Pacquiao).

And you think Floyd fighting those over the hill fighters at their UNNATURAL weight is the same as Martinez moving to a weight class he has NEVER fought at, and fighting the best super middleweight and top 3 p4p fighter in his prime, Andre Ward?

Get real dude. You often have good posts but right now your Floyd fanboyism. is showing hard.

Oscar was good at 154. Anyway Floyd fought those guys in 5th weightclass, the equivalent of Martinez fighting light heavyweight champions.

So what's the difference between him being smaller against Oscar, Cotto & maybe ginger as opposed to being smaller against Martinez?? Outside of Martinez being better than all 3??
          Sorry I missed this one.

Martinez is still bigger than those three. My thing is I don't think Martinez will nor should he move down in weight, and if he doesn't, I get the feeling people would expect Floyd to move up to Middleweight.

Why shouldn't he move down in weight? We've all seen the ramifications of weight jumping. Nor should he move up to super middle and fight Ward.

Martinez has P4P power, Floyd does not. Martinez isn't scared of Ward's size, he's scared of Ward's skill.
