The biggest misconception i read on these forums when it comes to Shannon "cannon" Briggs is that he recieved a bigger beatdown from Lennox Lewis years earlier when he was in his prime. That's just fans & haters alike being closeminded... it's called shortterm thinking & NOT looking at the bigger picture.... ask Shannon which beatdown was less merciful & he'd give it to you straight....




would he rather have ALMOST ktfo LL in the first rd if another punch had landed & then LOSE HIS STAMINA & have asthma kickin so LL rallies & scores a few knockdowns to get a TKO in the 5th rd such as Lennox Lewis did against him.. or would he have preferreed getting the stuffing beat out of him for 12 brutal rds (that's 36 minutes straight of hammerlike fists pounding on his head) receiving a cpncussion.. staying in a hospital for two weeks & then never donning boxing gloves afterwards til this day.

Briggs went straight to his hotel room a nd a few weeks laters started training again for his next bout... He's yet to train for a fight in about 3 yrs now since the Klitschko massacre... do the math my friends & get your boxing thinking caps on.. it's as if you've all never gotten an education & have no logic whatsoever.. yet think you have boxing logistics because you all outnumber me by 50 to 1... REALIZE yOU'RE all being taken to school by this poster who's bringing it in spades & squelching every one of your hater theories to the ground.

Shannon Briggs.. I believe is younger than Vitali Klitschko if i'm not mistaken. Was only a couple of years removed from a Wbo title.. actually is the last American to have worn a belt before The Klitschko's took everything over.

Was talking mad crap about the bro's for years.. trust me when i tell you that after Vitali realized that Briggs was willing to die in there just to say he lasted 12 rds with the greatest knockout artist in heavyweight history.... HE TOOK STEAM OFF HIS PUNCHES... Briggs was legitimately tko'ed at least 4 times in that bout ONLY FOR the ref & Briggs corner criminally sending him back for more because supposedly Briggs knew he was in for a beatdown before the bout & told everyone involved to NOT stop the fight no matter what.

Vitali hitting him.. made him more reluctant to fight back & perhaps his torn left bicep but MAKE NO MISTAKE when i tell you NO ONE ELSE would've done this to Briggs regardless of which version of him showed up.

If you get that Glove out of your noggin''' you'd have realized i'm comparing the respective beatdowns & the aftermath of them..... which version of Briggs is not up for debate... remember this is also a near 40 Vitali who was a yr or two older than the shot overwight Lewis who fought him.. so if you're going to degrade Briggs advanced years... you have to degrade Vitali's as well or just praise Vitali still kicking A$$$ AT THE YEARS Shannon & Lewis were through..
