Speak the f***ing truth!!! He isn't going to outbox Marquez, use your speed strafe him with shots, he was able to hit that straight left while moving to Marquez's left with plenty of success in the third fight. Otherwise we'll have another boring fight Pac won't look good in, and might lose. What else would Pac do? He tried boxing in the third fight and people thought he did worse than the first two times.

Exactly. Floyd doens't give a phuck about entertaining the audience. He stands his ground taking the counterpunching role. He made JMM the aggressor in their fight. Floyd is content entertaining fans via 24/7 reality show. Floyd is content winning by UD. Marques himself later said, "floyd don't want to fight...he don't want to fight...paqcuiao loves to fight..." Meaning, with Floyd he is forced to relinquish his counterpunching role and not be able to backpedal.

So Paq needs to learn to be patient in this fight...

He tried to be patient in the third fight. Didn't work well, it's not Pac's game.

Pacquaio's not going to change his style at this point.

No he didn't. He's probably surprised that JMM pulled a backpedaling strategy. He expected JMM to be as aggressive as he is as in their previous two fights. If you recall, Paq's sparring sessions in preparation for that fight had him being pushed back and slammed on the ropes by his sparring partners. NOthing like that happened in the third fight, probably just once or twice.

no no no ... all this trying to box smart etc is BS. Marquez is simply the better boxer. What Pac needs to do is take it into the trenches and turn it into a war, pure and simple, bring it down to the streets, just come in hard and brawl the guy, don't sit back and try to box, Marquez will get the better of that. Just go to war, pac will ship a bunch doing this but I'd wager any money that in a brawl Marquez will drop before pac.

He came in hard in round 1 of fight 1 and had marquez all over the place, then after shipping a few counters he got cautious and instead of keeping up the intense pressure and maybe taking a few more before getting the KO he started trying to box the guy, and the more he tried to box the guy the worse it got.

Getting even more cautious and trying to turn into a counter puncher is a sure way of losing a stinker. Duran didn't try to outbox Leonard he tried to make it his fight ad when he made it his fight he won. Conversly whe Leonard made it his fight HE won. The secret is to make the opponent fight your fight not the other way around.

Infact as time has gone by and pac has turned into a better boxer and less of a fighter the worse his 1 on 1 via marquez has got, he'll never be a better boxer than marquez and just needs to admit as much. What he is ... is the better fighter, play to YOUR strengths not your opponents.

In the 3rd fight with Marquez and his recent fight with Bradley, it seems like he has no movements at all. Don't know if it's because of the similar size between him and his opponent so he feels he doesn't need to move much?
Because Marquez can also move sideways and go reverse. Oscar by then was just a come forward sitting duck

What's good for Marquez is that manny can't counterpunch anywhere near as well as Floyd.

You're also forgetting Floyd's generous reach and arm length in respect to his height along with him having one of the best jabs in boxing. If Marquez didn't want to lead, Floyd could have just picked him off all night from the outside with the jab.

manny doesn't have no weapon to consistently do that

Roach isn't the kind of trainer who will come up with a masterful gameplan, his gameplans only look good against limited fighters. They're so simplistic it's laughable. What Pac needs to do is simply press the attack. Don't try to be cute and box in the center of the ring, just go all out.
