I wasn't Comparing Oscar to Marquez. I'm just Saying the side to side movement in the Oscar fight PAC haven't done that in a while. With the recent fight he just kinda comes foward with little to no movement. Idk if it's the size of his opponent that makes him switch style like when he fights taller/bigger guys he tends to move more from fear of gettin hit and possibly getting hurt. When he fight guys his size he seems to not worry much about their power. I still feel that the way he fought Oscar was his best style especially for a counter puncher like Marquez.

I can tell ye this much sitting back and trying to counter punch is about the worst thing pac could do in this one. Don't know why people are bringing up floyd as an example, floyd and pac are polar opposites, you can't ask floyd to fight like pac and you can't ask pac to fight like floyd. You gotta look at what your fighter is best at and use that not try to turn him into something he's not.

He tried that in desperation some time in the third fight. What happened was Marquez had the better footwork and outmaneuvered him.

good point. It's like these guys don't even pay attention to what they're watching.

manny did end up sitting back and trying to counter punch in the later rounds against Marquez. When a true blue counterpuncher goes into this mode, it's dope.

When manny did it he turned himself into a sitting duck had to contend with Marquez right hand which would generally beat his ****ty hook to the punch.

He also tried it early on in the first round as to show off his new "technical improvements". Marquez played it calm and cool by jabbing him to the pit of his belly as to say, "Quit fronting, *****, you'll always be a brawler."

Not really.. PAC was to stationary in their 3rd meeting. PAC needs to keep Marquez wondering that's how he's gonna find openings. He can't just stand there and try to counter.

and why do you think he became stationary? Marquez footwork didn't allow him to move as he pleased.

Mosley was a big guy who's known for his power yet manny didn't have all of his side to side movement.

Guys who can do more than just come forward don't let manny do that.

Tarnishing one boxer's reputation and legacy is easy, just do the shoulder roll and wait for the right moment...Imagine if two idiots doing the same thing, how boring is that? Luckily for Floyd he and his promoter knows how to pick the perfect opponent ^_^ in 10 years Floyd Mayweather Jr is just a shoulder roll, next to california roll and crunchy roll, the only pound for pound boxer on paper BUT make no mistake he's one of the best defensive boxer in the world. Floyd Mayweather Jr. will never be remembered as Duran, Sugar Ray, Robinson, Pacquiao, and of course Ali.....

Pac needs he his movement and needs to stop following. I doubt he'll learn how to cut off the ring that would be a surprise. I see the same thing happening but this time the W goes to Marquez and bye bye Floyd fight.
