well kirkland looked like a complete and utter zombie in his last fight getting a gift win. in the fight before that he almost got ko'd by one punch before coming back. in the fight before that he got ko'd by a feather fisted bum in 1 round. in the fight before that against a journeyman he got seriously rocked to his boots. if you look at trends, kirkland is not on an upswing. same thing when canelo wanted to fight williams who looked awful in his previous 4 fights. notice how he doesn't want to fight lara, trout, guys in their primes.

I always thought "step-aside" money was, for example, like in the case of Olusegun. Khan gave him step-aside money so that he could face Garcia (correct me if the example is incorrect). In terms of Cotto/Trout/Canelo/, it would only work if the step-aside $$$ comes with a guarantee that Trout faces the winner. Other than that, it'd be ****** for him to take it, cuz this is Trout's big shot at MSG. I don't think they could give dish out enough money to make Trout relinquish his chance for a guy who already has DLH in his back-pocket.

Guys who don't have any glaring weaknesses that he can exploit.

LOL. Other than the obvious "he's a JWW", Lopez also can get wild with his punches, and his pressure can get reckless. A calm counter-puncher like Canelo should know how to handle that type of style.

I have not seen what he looked like post-fight, and I don't even want to. I've heard that he got the shit beat outta him. I would love to be a fly on the wall in one of GB meeting rooms to hear the ******ity that comes from these matchmakers.

Listen if they lining up Floyd for next year, ginger isn't fighting anyone dangerous. It will be someone he cannot lose 2. Cotto shouldn't even be mentioned because it's not a forgone conclusion that he beats Trout.

I do find it funny that they said Cotto if he beats Trout but why not Trout if he wins?? They already ducked him for Lopes, that's why. Maidana, lace up dem gloves son, you're heading north.

They already tried Maidana once, why not try again for December?

WTF, kirkland hasnt done **** to deserve a fight, nor has anyone else. Lara and Vanes putting everything on the line, their entire career is at risk all for the chance to face Canelo and yet, that might not happen? FCK* the WBC if they dont force Canelo to fight his 1st Mandatory (Vanes/Lara) after all these years.
Lara-Vanes fight wont be till November and the winner wont be ready for December. Plus we know Gingerella is not gonna fight a JMW.
