One thing i have learnt is never underestimate Floyd, the guy makes skillful fighters look ordinary

I remember people use to say Hatton would beat Floyd on here, nonsense such as "Hatton will bully Floyd onto the ropes and take him out with bodyshots within 6 rounds"

What actually happened was Floyd beat Hatton while leaning on the ropes..

We had stories of how Marquez was going to beat Floyd with counters and then we witnessed the master counter boxer be countered and schooled

Floyd hate is disgusting, i use to bet against him, but not anymore, when he puts his mind to doing a job, he does it in great style and fashion..

while canelo k9 martinez and every other top fighter from 147-154 are killing each other AND FIGHTING EACH OTHER fraud jr will be on his couch eating skittles posting brain farts on twitter and taking scumbaggish pics of himself with wads of cash....
Wait. He's taking pics of himself with wads of cash, and he's only fighting washed up fighters? Shouldn't all boxers be signing up for that?

We'll see what happens. Im sure Floyd would be interested in a fight with Alvarez. After all that would probably be one of Floyd's biggest payday. Everyone would buy it. I'd actually rather see this one than Pacquiao. It's not even interesting anymore thinking about it.

So the Pac vs Mayweather argument is now redundant and it's time to put that to rest. Let's start a Mayweather vs Alvarez or Martinez debate. Fights boxing fans want to see. After watching Manny's last few fights, and watching him take on Marquez a 4th time, Im no longer interested in seeing him fight Mayweather.

Man these forums are getting unbearable. Canelo has done 0 to prove how good he is and these people are claiming he beats pretty much everybody. Canelo has officially made my list of fighters I dislike with a passion. SMH

richard can you say you're surprised? Mexican fans are probably the most bias group out of all boxing "fans". Now Im not saying they all are but the majority are pretty ridiculous.

Out of curiosity, are you a bit ******ed?.. Sentence structure seems to say you might be...

Canelo would give Cotto a heck of a fight. Canelo would give Floyd a tough fight. I'm willing to bet on that, if either happens within the next year.

Canelo is a very good fighter, but Mayweather is too quick for it even to be competitive. I hope a fight between the 2 isn't made because it will resemble other Mayweather blowouts.

The 1 man who might defeat Mayweather is Serg, and only if they fight in the very near future.

Canelo vs Cotto and Canelo vs Chavez would be good competitive fights.

                  Really?? You're a realist?

Canelo would retire Floyd the Avoid Mayflower!! To point out to the boxing world critically... Floyd is the problem with boxers nowadays. He's a survivor, not a fighter. He's pound for pound the most boring boxer to watch and this because he has taken the definition of the word 'defense' to a bruce lee level. The art of fighting without actually fighting!

Teddy Atlas said it best in an 'Unplugged statement during the Klitschko vs. Hayes fight.

TA said, "These guys are just not solid mentally anymore for the most part, a lot of these fighters. You go back to the 20's, 30's and 40's, those guys behaved like fighters. If there was an opportunity to get to a fighter, they had the fortitude to get to them. And not just physically and technically, but mentally and emotionally because they were invested in one thing, if there was an opportunity to do something, you do it. You don't draw a line. These guys draw a line and say, "I'll do enough to survive," or "I'll do enough to be competitive," or "I'll do enough to see what happens." But from a mental standpoint, back in the old days, in anything in our society and as far as a professional place of work, guys wanted to do what was there to do. They had the attitude and there was a hardness. There was a hunger to do whatever it is you were there to do.

If you had a carpenter in the old days and the carpenter came to your house and something wasn't just right with those cabinets, you couldn't throw the damn guy out of your house. He would stay there. He didn't care about the money or getting two more days pay because he was going to be there two more days. He cared about his reputation. He cared that he was supposed to get that done at a certain level and a certain standard. You couldn't throw him out of there without him saying, "I'm coming back tomorrow and I'm going to smooth that out; I'm going to add that and I didn't figure on that, so I'm going to come here and build that up a little bit more." And he would do it because that's what he did because he was a freaking carpenter and he took pride in what he did. There was a demand to be everything that he is supposed to be. The same thing with a doctor. A doctor didn't say, "Well, you don't have the coverage, I can't finish the job. I can't come and do a house call because I don't get paid extra for that." No, because they were committed to the job. They were committed to the profession; that they were supposed to behave at all times like a doctor and do what a doctor should do, and that's take care of that patient to whatever level it meant to go to. It was the same thing with the ball player; everything. It wasn't just about what they were getting paid. There was an urgency. It was a developed and committed urgency in everybody to be everything that you could be."

On behalf of TA i would direct this statement to the likes of mayweather and any other boxer only fighting to survive.

Simple. Canelo - fighter(go-getter). mayflower - survivor! 'nuff said!!

                  Cotto v. Canelo
Cotto will control the first rounds with boxing and movement. As the fight progresses, Canelo's body shots will begin to take a toll. Canelo will start breaking down Cotto imposing his size and strength. By the late rounds Canelo will catch Cotto with head to body to head combo's and win via TKO.

                  Mayweather v. Canelo
Canelo's defense is shaking, specifically absorbing punches right down the pipe. Mayweather will use his speed and straight right hands all day long. He will box circles around Canelo. Stick and move will be the game plan for Mayweather and Canelo won't be able to keep up with his speed or pace. Only chance Canelo has is landing that beast-like hook. Floyd wins by UD.

I am a Canelo fan, but a boxing realist first.

You don't have to call out Mayweather, Mr Canelo. You're his only option. Khan is out. Paq once again was offered to him by his best friend and didn't take it, as expected.
