It would be a repeat performance but next time Martinez isn't going to allow himself to get into another 12 rd event.

Chavez was exposed. He didn't even want to engage. No point in a rematch. Next time it will be a complete whitewash. Two different level fighters.
Martinez the great, will end up making this kind go blind. We don't want that to happen now do we?
Just say no to the rematch. **** fight. The right man won 11 and half rounds! Nothing more to see.

Da younga fighta comes out swinging for da KO and leaves himself open for dos lefts that he was busy blocking for 11 rds da first time around. Da rights busted him up plenty if da kid gives up his defense, he will lose early.

Despite the knockdown, this was a one-sided fight. I would like to see Chavez fight prove that he is in the top 5 middleweights. I think he loses to Golovkin, Maclin, and Lara. I would like to see Chavez vs Pavlik.

I just don't think a rematch will prove anything for Chavez.
Martinez's hand was broken after I believe round 4, look what he did to Chavez's face with one hand. Martinez at 100% might KO him and that'll be it for Chavez.
Martinez did look a little bad but the worst of it was from a headbutt and he was knee messed up at the end of the fight, so he coudn't move as well.
if Martinez is healthy he'll walk though Chavez, Chavez guarded himself because he didn't want to get hit but towards the end I think he realized Martinez did have the same kind of power and opened up.
plus counter punchers almost always do better in the rematch. come Chavez isn't going to add any new wrinkles to his game. Martinez knows what's up even more so.
finally how much longer can Chavez make 160?? Roach wanted him to move up after this fight. however Chavez makes weight it can't be healthy, it will catch up to him.
Martinez is 37 and will be 38 by the time of a rematch so who knows. personally I'd rather see him fight Mayweather.

Arum knows the large Mexican contingent would attend a rematch and that means more $$$ for the greedy old shyster rat. Boxing fans the world over can get phucked is far as he is concerned; boxing is for making him rich, not for the pleasure of fans.
