Pointless rematch. Just like the hype about Pac vs Bradly. Canelo is Mexico's next great champion. Chavez will have to settle for second.

Pointless fight! Easy money for Sergio, though. The real middleweight champion!!! Finally, the Chavez Jr. debacle is over!!!

As for Martinez, let him beat the kid for the 2nd time and move on to some big, deserving fights. (Only thing is...I hope he doesn't decide to fight Canelo.)

About Canelo...put him in with Pirog or Golovkin and let's see how he fares.

Mayweather only has one or two fights left: the guys coming up are too tough and he won't want any piece of him. If he had any smarts, he'd pay Marquez to step aside and begin a trilogy with Pacquoi...after which they can happily retire with an extra 100 million each.
It's not difficult to understand. First, Arum is very well educated, a Harvard Summa Cum Laude. And he's in the boxing business, typically the hunting grounds for the ignorant, unlettered and bigoted. Then he's VERY successful, the greatest promoter in boxing history. Then, he's old, and the carpers and critics are young (except for the dedicated life-time antisemites) And last but not least..... he's a ***,-and routinely bests non-***s........

So this combination reverberates with every degree and kind of racism, hatred, intolerance and jealousy.

I was thinking the same thing until I found out Martinez fractured his left hand in the 4th round. Now, imagine if Martinez had full strength in both fists? ****** idea for a rematch - no need.

Martinez got ****y and ended up trading with Jr. at the end and got caught. It won't happen again. Martinez is a true professional who will learn from his mistakes and bounce back stronger a la pwill II. I don't think 11 rounds of total domination sprinkled with 30 seconds of excitement warrant a rematch.

yeah, no point in a rematch, at least right away. i think it'd be better if both men had a fight in between if anything. have chavez jr fight another top MW, and with his size advantage, he should be able to stop most of them. imo it'll look better if chavez was coming off a bounce back win going into the rematch instead of being fresh off the loss. if does ever happen, i hope dibella and martinez demand more money. they deserve it.
but if arum and others weren't so money hungry, i would say they should go their own separate ways. martinez should challenge someone like geale, golovkin, or the quillin/n'jikam winner. that or try and get alvarez, cotto, or mayweather in the ring with him. chavez should move up to 168. fight someone like abraham or pavlik, those would be great fights.

No reason for a rematch, this is not going to be the continuation of the 12 round but the continuation of the first 11

Good, as long as it's not in Vegas. We were robbed on Saturday, so it can't be there and none of the officials involved can be allowed in the state the fight lands. All we want is a fair shake. Texas. Los Angeles. Mexico City. Any of those places are fine.
