Thats what i love about Roach...he tells it like it is. When he was interviewed during the fight, he was just honest, and knew JR had slim chance of being able to do anything. JR seems to think he has the whole world figured out. Heck even on the 24/7 he is just like "yeah yeah whatever", while his dad was spending more time studying Sergio and caring than JR did. Jr needs to stop trying to hold onto this "im not a puppet o my father", and just be his own man. As much as he claims he is his own man, he just always seems as if hes upset of who his father is from a boxing standpoint, and hates being labeled a fighter living off his name.

Roach is on a great streak..LOSING STREAK THAT IT IS.... All 3 of his pupils have tanked it this year.. Manny, Amir ( i have no chin) Khan, and JCC.. So sad... maybe its time to step down and let Robert Garcia show you how its done...LOL.. Roach its not only about offense my friend... DEFENSE! DEFENSE! Maybe if your boxers learn that instead of being countered all night than you wld be doing much better...

I like how the PAC haters is blaming roach for the loss. As it Chavez was trying giving it his all but roach was just giving him bad advice lol. there's nothing roach can say to help jr. The kid have no disipline, kid won't even listen to his pops how was he gonna listen to roach lol.

ive been saying it all along. roach is a over-rated trainer.how the heck can a fighter exchange with a opponent with that kind of movement. plus chavez does'nt know how to do anything different anyway.he,khan,and pacquiao don't know how to do anything in terms of adjustments.get a new trainer jr and learn how to fight.

Roach telling it like it is and I respect that. He knew how good Martinez was before the fight though because the Martinez we all saw last night is the same Martinez that always shows up in the ring.

¿Roach knew Martinez was good, but didn't know that he was THAT GOOD!? ¿Where the *** has Roach been? & ¿Isn't Roach the one that said he studies his fighter opponents thoroughly? Its very clear that Chavez Jr don't understand **** Roach be telling him in the corner he don't even pay attention to him while getting instructions. In the 9 round Roach was telling him he might stop the fight and Chavez Jr responded like yeah yeah yeah or some shi*t like that but it was hella funny Chavez Jr has no respect for Roach he should fire him and hire Robert Garcia Asap

Freddy appear to be the one of the most overrated trainers in history. Khan just broke with him. Good part of the success of Manny came from the way they play catching weight with rivals. It must be very true that there are communication problems between Jr and Roach since JJCJ acts like a punk. Training at convenient hours and in the comfort of a living room doesn't seem like giving respect to Roach. Freddy states that he threatened Jr stopping the fight if he wouldn't throw more punches forcing Jr finally to follow Roach's advise but many could wonder why Roach didn't threaten to do it early in the fight? I guess Roach only cares about his paycheck.
