Martinez is not Cotto, way better chin, speed, reflexes, power, toughness, "never quit" attitude, movement, heart, etc.

Also longer reach, and naturally bigger. Face it bub, its a mismatch.

Forgot to mention slickness, and style. Confidence as well, although Cotto was damn confident in that Mayweather fight.

      What's Floyd's favorite punch?

Be serious here Floyd has the right style to fight Martinez. The real question is Floyd's skills, IQ, heart, style, etc enough to overcome Martinez greater size?

Martinez managed to look as good as he did last night partially due to Chavez Jr. A durable Mexican punching bag will allow a competent boxer to unload and display his entire offensive arsenal.
You seriously have no clue WTF you talking about. Those guys are legit 160 pounders! Those guys ate punches got ****ed up trying to hit maravilla. Floyd would not be able to handle sergio's power. Sergio is fast for a MW and would punish floyd.

Martinez hasnt made 154 in 3 years.

          Stop it.

If Floyd beats a drained Martinez then it was a pointless fight. NSB kills me at times with this shyt. Did we not just see Ward vs. Dawson and the response to it?

Mayweather would KILL a drained Martinez. Cut the shyt already.

Martinez is fighting at the weight hes comfortable at. Fight Golovkin.

Thats because hes been forced to fight at 160 because people like Floyd Mayweather wont fight him at 154.

I know right. It's as if Floyd has some kind of "iron" jaw. He doesn't, he's not superman. His work rate will drop as soon as he tastes Sergio's power. Book it.

Confidence is through the roof. Will dig deep and not quit. I mean, if Floyd ain't trying to fight the mini version of that (pacquiao), he doesn't touch Sergio with a 20ft. pole.
Great post. Dudes that think floyd beats sergio have no clue of what they're talking about. Sergio is an elite MW while floyd is an elite WW maybe JMW. The size difference would be too much. If they were the same size then yeah I'd favor mayweather heavily but that's not the case.

When's the last time a 154 lb. fighter was willing to fight Sergio? Im sure he'd be more than happy to fight at his natural weight class. Martinez that is.

Im sure Floyd woud like to fight at his natural weight class of 135/140 but sadly as you move up the weight is hard to take off.

Martinez vs. GGG makes PERFECT sense right now. Same weight class. Money wont be an issue., etc

was de la hoya too big for mayweather? After all he did box at middleweight for a period and came down. Mayweather boxing iq would frustrate the life out of martinez. his reflexes at 35 are miles better than chavez, those flicking jabs wouldnt touch floyd. I have floyd winning this by UD. Easy work.
