After watching his fight with Josesito Im 99.99% sure Cotto rips him a new one!!

Canelo is a bit better than Jr, but his nit as agressive and doesnt have the greates of the chins!

Cotto KOs him, in under 10, Floyd toys with him!

Alvarez freezes when he gets hit. He can take the hits from smaller guys but when he fights someone bigger with more experience he will be frustrated. It was surprising to see Lopez get off a few punches that had Alvarez stopped in his tracks to reset. Its not that he was hurt, just didn't know what to do when being hit. He's good on the attack but lacks the ability to counter when being attacked and last night showed a little of this. Outside of that though, I like the kid and in 5 years or so, look for him to be something special. Right now though, I'll watch his fights but not buying the hype that he beats the elite guys at all.

Canelo-Cotto would be a great fight and I do think Canelo stands a pretty good chance against Floyd.

You noticed that too huh? The little bit I watched of round 2 had me convinced that Alvarez would be lucky to get past a top 10 154lber. Not even gonna talk about him fighting Floyd or Martinez. He doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as those guys.

Canelo's best win is an alright win over Ryan Rhodes. Canelo deserves to be just inside the Top 10 at 154, not #2.

Canelo doesn't deserve a Floyd fight until be beats a Cotto/Trout winner, or gets a couple solid wins over Lara/Vanes, Kirkland, Molina, or Berto/Bundrage.

Canelo should AT THE VERY LEAST, fight Carlos Quintana in December. At the least.

I totally agree with this statement. The thing is, he is a champ and he is calling the top guys. So he aint gonna last to be good in 5 years from now. He needs to live to his hype or give up the belt. Thats why I respect Jr. now, he fought who he had to fight this past year and a half. He got beat but he tried.

If that was Cotto last night Canelo would have gotten KOd in 7 rounds or less. I say guys like Lara, Cotto, Golovkin, Martinez and Floyd all beat Canello and without much problems I might add.

I will love to see Canelo-Cotto next. I think Canelo's power can be a factor if he can catch Cotto early but. If Cotto boxes past the 6th, I think he picks Canelo apart. He will have to take Canelo into the late rounds by working the body from round one. Canelo commits with his power shots and opens himself a lot and that can be a huge factor. If Cotto's power slows Canelo a little and makes him be cautious about throwing bombs away, Cotto can use that to outbox him. Will be an awsome fight either way.
