In a rematch I only see 2 possibilities

First: Another boxing clinic from Martínez for most of the fight, but this time Maravilla won't get overconfident and would easily beat Jr

Second: Jr throwing punches like a madman since round 1 and getting KOd a la Williams. You just can't throw many punches when Martínez is so fast and powerful.

Jr was in a shell not because he felt "tied up", but because he felt Martínez power and realized that if he started opening up he was going to get seriously hurt.

Alright, so if there's a rematch you're betting your account?

Of course Jr deserves a rematch. That doesn't mean that if Jr starts earlier, he will win. Jrs aggression may bring out the best in Martinez.

Just because he didn't hold doesn't mean he was ok, he was badly hurt. It's pretty clear Jr was probably on his way to stopping him. He may have done it in a 15 round fight.

There's also the possibility of Jr catching Martinez with one of those bombs early and putting him away. The 2nd possibility you listed is the most likely to happen though. We all know Jr will try harder in a rematch so it would result in a more explosive fight regardless of who wins, that's why I wanna see it.

Had Martinez ran, he probably gets stopped. The fighter in Martinez allowed him to finish. One big left by Serg slowed Jr, and that's all Serg needed.

at first I didn't like the idea of a rematch because it was a clinic for 11 .5 rounds.....but then i looked at it from sergio's point of view...It makes business sense...i dont think floyd is ever gonna come to the table so this is the biggest fight sergio will ever get...

                    • Sergio should do it...he deserves the money and its easy work...he could train 1 week for this fight and would still outbox Jr...
