Yes you are. If that was a 15 round fight like the old days, they would have carried Martinez out. JCC will knock him out in the rematch, that was obvious tonight when he finally stepped on the gas. CHavez knows Martinez can't hurt him and he knows he can stop Martinez. They will pick up where they left off with JCC pouring it on instead of waiting 12 rounds.

There is only a little detail you missed with your assessment, the fight was for 12 rounds and all parties knew that. Guess he should've started fighting earlier! What great show!

Great fight, I just knew something special was going to happen even though it was looking like a somewhat average shutout.

I was already becoming a fan of Chavez jr. before the fight and was rooting for him, but he has now become one of my favorites due to that tremendous display of heart in the last round. Chavez knocking out Taylor is my favorite comeback KO ever so to see history almost repeating itself was amazing to witness.

Great Show by Sergio!! he executed a great plan, got caught at the end when Chavez showed up but still UD clearly. Chavez will bounce back for sure, probably needs to move up, he cant make weight and be 100%. I doubt they would need a rematch and I doubt Chavez would want it.


this was like Ward vs Dawson, if Ward got caught in the last round.

chavez won't be able to do it the only reason he got sergio was cause sergio was trying to knock him out he could of easily cruise his way an easy decision but he tried to prove a point and nearly paid it off with a 185 pounds guy.

Yeah, Sergio wanted to KO Jr and that's why he got caught ... He could've just ran the final round but he really wanted the KO and that was a mistake ... No rematch, next time Sergio beats him more easily.
