I agree. As I mentioned above, Sergio has the tendency to take his trash talk a bit too far, when it comes to the sensitive TR and Freddie Roach fighter (Chavez).

As we all know, it has been some fishy stuff going on in Julio's camp no secret. I know that Sergio asked for random testing, and it got declined...he almost didn't get this fight because of it.

The fact that he still agreed to fight him after they declined the testing, says a lot about his confidence in knowing that he will win regardless.

I just made a big deal of him bringing up the PED stuff again, because it's too close to the fight day, and we all know how touchy Arum and Roach gets when it comes to their fighters being discussed in the same sentence with PEDs.

For all we know, they could get a wild hair up their @sses, and threaten to call of the fight. All Im saying is, chill out Sergio, you got the fight, go out there and beat him...save the "touchy" trash-talk for after the fight. No harm in that...
LOL. They have sold out the Thomas and Mack and are about to make a tremendous amount of money on a huge PPV. Nobody is cancelling anything.

Its gonna be a good fight!!! Yeah I think Martinez is more of the underdog on this fight than before. He is fighting aginst all the odds IMHO, since it seems that he agreed to fight JR. on his terms. So yes he needs a KO to stake his claim. But honestly Jr. seems to be young enough to just not give a Fck and the kid is confident. I dont expect it to be as easy as Martinez expects, but I am pretty sure he has trained for the worst. Only ***** in his amor, is that he's been there before with Margarito(loaded gloves or not), and if things dont go his way will he fold?

Yup, I been picking Martinez since the fight came out even though I do think it will be a tougher fight than expected. I just think Martinez is too skilled for him. It get's stopped in the 8th.

Toucher fight than who expected? I've been telling you for a year now Chavez Jr would retire Sergio.

Jr is a good kid, but i agree with Martinez on this article. Jr says he wants to take the Chavez name to new lengths but how can he do it without self-discipline? he portrays everything a boxer shouldn't be. His dad was so successful and won so many fans over because he respected the sport of boxing.

Junior needs to derail from the path he's on now, and adopt a new attitude toward boxing, or else I see nothing but clouds and darkness over his career.

Chavez fought in front of packed houses when he wasn't in the top hundred of his division. He's been one the most protected, coddled fighters in history. He doesn't appreciate how tough it is to make it big in this sport--his actions show rather that he takes it all for granted.

Don't get me wrong, it is not Chavez fault it has all been gifted to him. But he has not shown any humility and that disgusts most fight fans. This is a guy that has been given the middleweight championship of the world without having ever fought the top fighters in the division (and if you try to argue that Rubio, Lee or Zbik should be considered in that group, you are doing a great disservice to the deep middleweight division). He should be humble and try to prove he deserves the opportunity to get in the ring with Martinez. He should acknowledge that the strap he wears around his waist was improperly and disgustingly taken by the corrupt WBC and its fraud Jose Suleiman. Martinez has every right to be disgusted with Chavez and the travesty which resulted in Chavez wearing a belt that he doesn't deserve and rightfully belongs to Martinez.
Well said my friend. Well said.

He's going to end going too far, and saying something that's gonna out the fight in jeopardy. This whole PED crap doesn't need to be flying out of his mouth at the time...we know how Arum and Roach get about PED talk...they'll cancel a fight over **** like that.
They asked him a question so what kind of answer was he supposed to give? Damn he's right.

What a farcical excuse for a grudge. As if he's a Corsican bandit. Reeno must be very hard up for news to bother writing about such tripe. I'm surprised but Boxingscene posters will soak up anything.

No he isn't right. All that stuff does is facilitate quicker liquid elimination, something he could have done naturally with a little more time and trouble, I'd think. We know he can make 160 and remain strong. So what's all the fuss and the rubbishy accusations about?? Some people rehydrate more than others, with much of it liquids. Corrales, at only 130 lb rehydrated over 17 lbs before the Mayweather fight. Gatti at 140 lbs rehydrated over 20 lbs lbs against Joey Gamache.

So what if Chavez rehydrates up to 20 lbs.......??
