Back in July, 50 Cent and Oscar De La Hoya, the president of Golden Boy Promotions, exchanged words on Twitter. During the exchange, 50 Cent vowed that Golden Boy would no longer promote Floyd Mayweather Jr. Golden Boy has co-promoted Mayweather's last six fights.

50 denies messing with Floyd's girl, which I believe (that relatioship) is just a PR stunt anyway.

But judging by the last radio interview (hot97??) I don't think Floyd is part of TMT legally. I think 50 legalised the brand and acquired the license while Floyd was inside...

Floyd is ******** like he's got an addiction and is hinting at not fighting again.

They keep sayin the only person who can beat Floyd, is Floyd!? Is this happening now. He is falling off. I don't care he made all that money. But you don't need 6 months to build a fight. Thats some crap Golden Boy sold him so they could make money in between...

I don't know why Mayweather just didn't start his own promotion with out 50 cent. Be his own boss and not have nobody making money off of him. Now they got all this drama over some Robin Givens gold digger. Mayweather let some guy in his inner circle he shouldn't have but he should have known that girl was no good too.

Nah. Maybe Floyd and 50 are not "tight" with each other anymore. Ahem..

Floyd is not dumb. He knows 50 doesn't have the pull or the resources that GBP can provide. If anything, Floyd wants to take a page from GBP, and follow how Oscar sold the company. Floyd can do the same thing since hes been one of the top names in the sport for the past 5-6 years.
I doubt it. Oscar was a well mannered well behaved person who although not well educated, was well brought up and went to school. Mayweather is basically uneducated, sounds like a thug, is irresponsible and narcissically unreliable. He would have no hope of getting a company going, hasn't he had a shell company for years which has never been licenced?? He'd need to hire at least a dozen top notch people whi have all the contacts (that's the important thing) to get it going.

Oscar had backers who supplied much of the funds and infrastructure. Mayweather wouldn't be able to get them.

I think anyone who followed Floyd carefully realized in his last interviewed that, the moment the guy mentioned TMT ,Floyd also mentioned his promotional company.

I have always wondered what was in it for Floyd, Ellerbe and all those bunch of guys who followed floyd and if they will suddenly let someone take over and sold on his name and reputation after many years of hard work and dedication.
