The fact that Wlad is a EASTERN EUROPEAN and fights in Germany saved him. He now make millions and fight in front of sell out 40,000+
    No.

If Wlad was an african american (or white american for that matter) he will be on HBO PPV every fight. They will call him the "supreme fighting machine"

Ward was an unknown before the S6 as he was a relative novice.

During the S6 he was on showtime.

This was his first feature on HBO, business will pick up from now on.

    HBO are biased, racist pricks.

They bagged Lewis his whole career, with George foreman making snide remarks during most of his fights.

They did the same to the Klitschkos

They want an AMERICAN heavyweight champion

Lets just forget about Liston, Frazier and Foreman either side of Henry, nevermind Ali himself.

Ali gets floored once by Cooper, then gets up to stop him.

It's less relevant than the Purrity loss for Wlad, and I actually like Wlad better than I like Ali.

Chris Byrd is considered the second best fighter Vitali fought. Do you honestly believe there is any comparison?

Look at the unathletic bums jou louis fought...strong era???
No. Not the strongest era, really. But he only had one loss in the 59 fights in a 15 year career, where he fought everyone that was available.

He did this by himself. He couldn't call on his brother to fight a rematch for him. He cleared the division out by himself, and racked up plenty of good names as he did it.

TYSON BEAT WHOM exactly??trevor berbick??spinks??all guys the k bros would put in a bodybag..
This is the only question worth asking.

lets face it, theyre not american, good looking and dont trash talk, hence why hbo and co have ignored them...
Why was Holmes ignored and rejected?

You don't know **** about boxing.

I also like to point out a lot of it have to do with marketing.

The Brits and Americans know how to hype a fighter and to market a fighter more then Germany and Eastern European countries.

Can you imagine a Prime Lennox Lewis in this era instead of K2? And say Lewis fought for England in the Olympics instead of Canada? He will be 50-0 with 50 Knock outs and Sky will officially declare him greater then Ali.

I actually feel if it was a Prime Lewis instead of K2 in this era, the Anti-Lennox would be even MORE then anti K2. I think seeing a Big Brit destroying American HW'S probably hurts even more then seeing 2 Ukrainians.

Talent wise its not a weak era but the problem is lot of heavyweights today are lazy and dont train and eat like they should. And they are puss.es compared to the heavyweights of the past.

Lewis was hated almost as much as the Klitschkos by HBO

but i belive he was slightly more marketable in their eyes.

so they were not quite as bad.

he was still treated with appaling resentment, as are most fighters from overseas, particularly when they have a lot of success over american fighters.

IMO Lennox has only been appreciated recently after his retirement (ala Holmes), I mean look how they bloody booed him at the Klitschko fight. It's sad man.

                  it's different with Holmes.

Lennox Lewis retired in 2004. HE WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY appreciated. By 2007, various boxing pundits have given full respect to Lewis and rank him in the proper top 10 HW Lists.

LARRY HOLMES was appreciated decades later.

The reason is because after Holmes, Tyson came along and people just forgot about Holmes.

I like Lennox and both Kbros.

I feel that they have represented the sport in the best possible ways outside of the ring and as HW Champs they mean more then light weight champions.

I hate saying Hbo is bias because of nationality, but they really are.

The greatest example I can think of is when Lewis was dominating Holyfield in the first fight and towards the end

George Foreman screamed 'IF ONLY LEWIS WILL LOWER HIMSELF SO EVANDER CAN HIT HIM IF ONLY, all Evander need is ONE SHOT JUST ONE SHOT COME ON'.

And Larry Merchant said 'So let me get this straight George, you WANT Lennox to bend down into a Holyfield punch, you trying to keep the titles in the colonies George'?

Yeah true, I think whoever came after Muhammad was gonna have a hard time regardless of where they came from, to fill that void.
