I actually like Chavez, but it's WAR Martinez all the way. I immediately became a fan when I saw him against Bunema a few years ago, been rooting for him ever since.

I'm rooting for Sergio Martinez, as a true boxing fan I have no choice but to root for a real boxer that trains hard and is dedicated an has skill and abilities and acts like a true warrior in and outside the ring. Only casual fans support a casual boxer that is a lil rich *****, snot nose spoiled little punk that treats his profession like as if it were a hobby, living off of daddy's name and in his shadow, letting daddy fight his verbal battles cu when he tries himself he comes of looking and sounding like a complete idiot, that isn't dedicated and is lazy as ***.

I'm backing Martinez. He has struggled to land big fights and has had some pretty unlucky decisions in the past. He deserves it more than Chavez Jr. I feel like he needs to stop Jr. or win by a wide decision. I can't see him winning a close decision.

Totally agree, especially with the statement in bold. Any close rounds the judges will probably give to Jr.

If Sergio wins, there's a possibility he'll fight Mayweather.

If Chavez Jr. wins, there's a possibility he'll fight Mayweather or Ward.

The above scenarios would be huge for boxing, so I eagerly anticipate this event.

I know Chavez Jr winning will be better for boxing, he's 26 and on the verge of becoming the next big thing.

Sergio is old and almost 40. That being said, Sergio deserves the win more in my opinion. Chavez can always build himself back up again in the next 3-4 years.

Sergio can win and get another super fight. I would love to see Sergio vs Floyd at 154. Or Martinez vs Ward at 164.

Hmm I'm not sure... I like both of these fighters the same amount. I enjoy Chavez' style much more but Sergio is the more likable outside of the ring.

I just hope for a great fight and I predict a UD for Sergio.

I like both...I do not like Chavez's work ethic but I would rather see Chavez win...he will have the longer career...and it does more for boxing...

Sergio will most likely win but all it does is set up fantasy fights Sergio won't get or fight.
