Since becoming champion at 154 lbs, Canelo has had multiple opportunities to fight somebody legit that actually fights at 154 lbs(Rhodes does not count, glorified regional fighter at best, also apparent based on his putrid effort against Canelo). He has not done so. People can say he signed to fight Williams and Kirkland, but there's only so many excuses one can accept as to why he hasn't fought a solid 154 guy before it becomes apparent that his team is not interested in even quasi-dangerous fights at the weight.

4. Alfonso Gomez - Moved up from 147 to fight him.
3. Kermit Cintron - Coming from two straights loses and was dominated by Molina the fight before.
2. Shane Mosley - Dominated by Mayweather, strugke mightly with Mora and then got beat handly by Pacquiao. Also moved up to fight Alvarez.
1. Joseito Lopez - Career 140 pounder moving up two weight classes to fight him.

yeah lets give him respect for ALMOST FIGHTING PAUL WILLIAMS and almost fight James Kirkland who wasn't even 100% and they did not care they was desperately trying to rush Kirkland into that fight and cash him out to try and push Alvarez Career further

Forget all that lets talk about the fact that he past on fight Lara and Trout to fight Josesito Lopez...basically a Junior Welterweight and the excuse used for doing so is because "TROUT/LARA WAS NOT EXCITING ENOUGH" hahaha REALLY?
