Lewis and I dont think its even close. Vitali's best win is Cory Saunders

By the quality of opponents Lennox for sure, but I too find him overrated. Lets remind ourselves he was KOed twice by very limited fighters (and once when he was in his absolute prime). Sure he would say he wasn't 100% into the fight but every fighter makes excuses after such a lost (either broken toe or something else...)

He went distance and really struggled (still win clearly) against C+ level fighter (Mavrovic).. He fought only one ATG when he was not way over his prime and that was Holyfiled. At least one of those fights were a draw.. Lennox was great but not Ali type of great for sure!

Vitali didn't have those canvas moments and he did beat his opponents more convincingly. He fought worse opposition as well.
Their fight didn't tell much. It was pretty even with Vitali outboxing (not greatly) Lennox and Lennox producing a greater damage.

Vitali better handled a worse opposition. Lennox beat much better boxers but was KOed twice...

Those fighters Lewis lost to were better than anyone Vitali beat.

It's not a LOST, it's a LOSS. This is BASIC English. He lost the fight, but the fight was a loss on his record. Jesus.

As for this question, then it's weird. I don't think of Lennox as having a great resume by any stretch, but put it next to Vitali's and it looks like HOF material.

I disagree McCall and Rahman were better than Solis, Areolla, Peter or Sanders.
McCall lost to Gomez which Vitali TKOed quite easily...

@Anorak Thanks for the English lecture I appreciate it! Very relevant to discussion indeed...

your type will never give lennox his due. mccall & rahman are not journeymen. they were former world champions....it's not even close. vitali has a decent resume at best & didn't fight over half of the contenders of his era, no signature wins & 0-2 vs his best opposition & i dont give a **** about he was winning after 5 rounds bull****!!!! a loss is a loss!
