Ward made it seem like Chad was getting paid some big money to come to Oak Town at the presser...I can't remember EXACTLY what he said, but it was something like Chad didn't make all these sacrafices for nothing...the money had alot to do with him accepting the terms....thats what it sounded like to me
if SOG feels like THAT number Chad is getting is good enough, thats SO Greedy of him....but he could be TRYING to make the OBVIOUS seem like its something else....the OBVIOUS is, Chad doesn't think Ward can beat him....he is so sure he'll beat the dude and he'll fight him for crumbs in his backyard at his weight....Bad Chad is writing it on the wall but dudes are blinded by the shine of SOG...no doubt, he got it in in the S6 and his record since pubity is sparkling clean....that type of shine can blind anybody...I guess Chad rock different shades....we'll see
more reason to think Chad KNOWS he can beat this dude...can't wait till tonight!!!

That was some low purses. Particularly for Dawson. He really should fire Shaw.
This is on HBO and in front of 10K people in Oakland. I cant understand that the purses aint bigger. Kessler got more against Allan Green than Ward gets against Chad Dawson.Comment

Chad Dawson should seriously take a look at TMT Promotions once his contract with Gary Shaw is up. Floyd Mayweather already likes Chad Dawson and he would be an excellent pick-up for his stable.Comment

shaw treats his fighters great compared to most other promoters imo, but he doesnt have the pull in the business others do. TR, GBP and even DKP can make their fighters much more money than shaw.
but shaw is good to his fighters, hes good at getting them spots (on showtime in particular) so his fighters are rarely out of action for long. he also values them even after taking a loss and keeps investing in them unlike most promoters. take someone like darchiniyan, he wouldnt get as many big fights considering his losses with many other promoters imo. the downside is they dont get paid as well as other fighters in their position when they are on top.
also shaw doesnt sign fighters just to put them on the shelf. if he invests money in a fighter he will invest time and effort too. not like arum or king who will sign fighters with big advances and then put them on the shelf just so that other promoters cant sign them, killing the fighters career and hurting the sport in the process. in general shaw belives more in his fighters, maybe bcuz he has such a small roster. that fits some fighters, like dawson who wants to take on teh world but wouldnt have been allowed to make alot of big risk fights if he was with someone else.Comment

Sounds like Chad being complaisant again in this whole ordeal and he'll likely finish off things by despite having the reach advantage allow Ward to get on the inside and say look see i'm fighting your fight now wether that works or not...If it does he's a mastermind ....If it doesn't he's a dunceComment
