I think the new head of HBO sports runs the ship with a tighter grip on his wallet.

That is a good and bad thing. Not as good for the fighters, but we may end up seeing more fights and start seeing a trend of fighters being more active to compensate.

Tim Bradley received $1.1M vs. Casamayor on the undercard of a Pacquiao PPV.

Some of that purse was Tim's signing bonus, which he elected not to take when he signed to TR. So he made "about" $600k for that Casamayor fight.

I'm guessing they also took a percentage of the PPV revenue home too.... so Each probably made an extra 20 bucks

Nothing to do with Arum, HBO guaranteed Bradley and Alexander 1.2 mil for two fights. Gary Shaw probably pushed for that. It's funny that Shaw gets criticized in this thread when he was the one who gave Bradley his first million dollar payday and was also the first promoter to put Pac on ppv.

Now unless Bradley and Berto get higher ratings than Dawson, I have a hard time understanding why HBO low balled him like that.
