Will the officials in Oakland (referee and judges) be fair to Chad Dawson?

The point is that you have never seen Nonito get an undeserved decision or favorable referee calls at home. And physical/rough styles are a part of boxing.

i would hope not considering donaire's only fought complete bums when fighting in the bay area. quit being a homer, it's pretty obvious that ward gets some favors when fighting in oakland. from the headbutts in the kessler fight, to the holding in the miranda and green fights, and the elbows in the bika fight. not to mention the scores in the bika fight were a joke. 120-108 and 118-110 is garbage. it was a pretty even fight. i scored it a draw in fact.

now i'm not saying miranda, kessler, or green would have won if the fight was somewhere else (i consider miranda and green journeyman/gatekeeper status), but the deck was stacked against them. if the bika fight was somewhere else, ward may possibly have caught a dq with those elbows.

That tells me all I need to know about your objectivity and boxing knowledge. Say no more.

what was your score for the fight? they landed a similar amount of punches but bika was busier. i've seen plenty of people on boxing forums who think 120-108 and 118-110 is a lame score and a decent amount who thought it was a draw. but at the end of the day, we all have our own opinions as judging is pretty subjective.

and your hometown bias and username (not even sure why you brought up donaire as he's fought nobody significant in the bay area and this thread is about WARD VS DAWSON) says something about your "objectivity" as well. peace.

Why wouldn't they be? There is no history of officials in Oakland being other then fair. Please don't bring up your butthurt Kessler crap, dude got whooped, he's gotten over it so it's about time you did too.

Ward refused to fight overseas during the Super Six because he needs his home referees to permit him to headbutt, hit off the break, and otherwise foul. And maybe he was afraid that the OST required for Sauerland events would turn up something he got from Victor Conte.

Kessler may have been whooped, but his face was a bloody mess due to Ward's blatant headbutting. You should just acknowledge that and move along.

Don't compare the Klitschkos holding to Hatton and Ruiz.

First of all, Wladimir is the one who clinches, not so much Vitali. Second, Wladimir's is quick and tactical. He clinches when his opponent gets on the inside, then on the break he goes back to keeping them at bay.

Hatton and Ruiz grab, then hit while holding to where the ref has to practically use a crowbar to pull the fighters apart. Not the same thing.

Homeboy Ward will have the rub of the green, they will allow his illegal tactics while penalising Dawson.

All close rounds will go to Ward, Dawson is going ti have to dominate rounds or score knockdowns to have a sniff of winning them.

The judges probably already filled out their scorecards, a wide pts win for Ward.

Something that press row won't have.
