This is totally different from Cotto's time, Cotto made weight no sweat....
DLH gained no weight they had to stick an IV in his arm to get fluids in him. Cotto was training in 100 degree heat to make weight before the weigh in, made it no sweat??? LOL you're clueless.

Cotto moving up in weight straight after.
Pacquiao admitting it would affect Cotto.
Cotto training in 100 degrees heat to make weight.
Cotto refusing to "sacrfice" his body again.
Pacquiao unwilling to fight Cotto without another CW.
All back up my argument.
cotto's last fight before manny he weighed 146
cotto admitted he didnt saw the punches coming
cotto wanted the ring to be bigger and have bigger gloves even though he's the bigger man
stop whining and take it like a man , cotto is scared of pac , he beat him silly not even close

And just to stress a point, dehydrated fighters will show fatigue and discomfort in the later rounds, thus will be more at a disadvantage in the 2nd half of the match, but Cotto as early as the first 6 rounds already suffered 2 knockdowns and was already at a retreat in most part of the succeeding rounds. So dehydrated or not Cotto will still loose that match against Manny...Last edited by ALG United; 09-02-2012, 02:17 PM.

My brother wrestled in high school and to him 2 pounds made a huge difference. I remember how he struggled to get down to weight and sometimes going to drastic measures to get there. I remember he wrestled a kid at a tournament and lost to him and it was very obvious he was weight drained. My brothers strength and stamina just wasn't there. About a week later the 2 pound weight allowance kicked in and it was much easier for him to make weight. He wrestled the kid again in the championship of another tournament and completely dominated winning like 12-2. He was fast, very explosive and his stamina looked great.
I'm not saying Cotto was drained or not or the catchweight affected his performance but I am saying that the last pound or two "can" affect a athlete that is already struggling to make weight.
