Be more impressive if they haven't claimed these types of things beforehand only to have the total count be far less then what they expected.

And as I recall, Chavez-Lee filled half or less of the venue(?)

these attendances they have in the states are a joke. i've been in several 50k plus audiences at boxing matches in europe.

I even hear casuals talking about this fight. It's pretty big man. My blood heats up as it gets closer and closer.

This post sums it up. I'm sure the 5 or 6 Martinez fans in attendance will leave the arena in the 7th round or so, after watching their hero get brutalized.

What a joke if 18k in states is considered "record breaking" when there are fighters in europe who can put 20k+ every fight.

Wonder why there isnt more support from fans in USA. They watch it on TV but they dont wanna go watch a fight live. Maybe they dont like to travel

Yeah but how many seats do those venues in EU hold? Sporting arenas here are to accommodate for NBA and NHL mostly eg. Staples Center, Madison Square Garden, Oracle Arena. They cap at around 16k-18k.

Tickets for those 18k seats cost more....of course you talk out of your ass so I'm not surprised that you'd call it a joke.

Because all the big fights are in Vegas yet Vegas is really only convenient for people in California possibly Arizona and Utah by car. Plus while Vegas being a pretty big city the locals don't attend because they don't go to the casinos so the casinos would rather just give those tickets away to gamblers than to really market them to locals.

Now Vegas can be done on the cheap even flying in but no one really has fun in Vegas unless they have a wad in their pocket that could choke a horse, with even bigger reserves. Plus people are not really balling out at the moment but even in the best of times only so many have desire to do Vegas like Vegas should be done.
