Not bad for two foreign Hispanics. Keep in mind canelo is fighting that day otherwise the ppvs numbers would be very high too. Mayweather is boring and no one would pay a dime outside the US to see him. Once he loses his 0, he will lose fans in the US too. By the way, 100,000 plus fans were in the Chavez-Haugen fight in 1993 in Mexico City.Comment

If the Chavez-Martinez fight were to be held in the open air with more seats, there would be probably 30-40,000, especially if there were cheap seats. Arum has a very nice custom of making the lesser priced seats very cheap, around $20-25. He says he does this to give every fan a chance to see a good fight. For a big pomoter supposed to be all about money, that's a good trait.Comment

No, in his recent fights against good competition he was clobbered plenty, and he didn't even blink. In fact I've never seen him flinch no matter what. Martinez puts more into his punches than others he's faced, I think, so we'll really be able to judge just how good his chin is. My opinion is that he takes far too many punches.Comment

With 15k paid tickets so far, how can they possibly reach 18k paid with only 1690 tickets left? The math isn't working.Comment

Record breaking for the Thomas&Mack Centre. In the 1920's Jack Dempsey had attendances of over 90,000 for his Carpentier fight, and over 120,000, for a Tunney fight, (I think the other Tunney fight was over 100,000 but not sur),
