probably back in late 09 or 2010. i remember reading the article last year and it being a bit old. not sure though.

EDIT: it happened in the first half of 2011.

Martinez said he was willing to face Cotto at middleweight or drop down to junior middleweight to fight him. Martinez has animosity toward Cotto because he said Cotto refused to shake his hand when they ran into each other at a function in Mexico a couple of months ago. Rather than face Martinez, Cotto is headed toward a likely Dec. 3 rematch with Antonio Margarito.

The sentence was the following: "Es un tipo raro"

"Es" goes for IS
"Un" goes for "A"
"Tipo" goes for "Guy"
"Raro" goes for "Strange" or maybe Weird.

I didn't understand that part either, to be quite frank. I just translated what I read .

i use raro when trying to say something is odd. strange/weird/odd, all the same thing i guess?

Damn Martinez is a real dude. He kept it real about the rematch and Texas. I'm convinced a rematch won't happen, at least not in Texas. The dude takes his pride serious and doesn't seem like the type who would bend over for money.
