In boxing terms, he wasn't. Never went down, never appeared to be in any real danger. A left hand in the end of round 4 was the closest thing to Chavez being "hurt" and he took it well.

They were injured but not "hurt".

I remember pacquiao hurt marg with a right hook sometime later in the fight that really stunned marg, almost doubled over. But i hear what youre saying

i think he means when fighters have that adrenaline in them and they're in fight mode, it kind of dulls the pain. yeah they're bleeding and cut and stuff, but its bearable pain for them to go through.
