They were the best of their time. Greb beat them repeatedly to establish himself as the best of his time.

That's an accomplishment. Whether or not they would be journeymen is more opinionated (I still agree)

But he beat them on a level playing field, he didn't have a time machine or anything. He was just as raw as them.

I haven't seen him fight, sadly. I do believe a lot of people would be let down with the footage if it is one day discovered considering how amazing his resume is.

As for the sparring footage, it's obviously not serious sparring He's not going to go all out on an ancient Philadelphia Jack O'Brien. More of an exhibition if anything.

My point is that you rank fighters differently.

You rank off what you can see.

I would rank off what they managed to accomplish in their time. I think it's a waste of time so I don't even do that. I just think it's a more scientific measure.

H2H doesn't affect their ranking at all for me.

Hard to say that. U can't rank fighters based on h2h. Either way, grab is considered one of the best all time. There is no footage of him tho and it seems he was quite the dirty fighter. Lol. I don't think many writing in this thread would even appreciate his style. They can't even stand Andre Ward
