Even in sparring he abuses the smaller guys. Sparring a featherweight.

Canelo Alvarez is exactly whats wrong with boxing

Not him personally but the vile slime at the WBC let this guy beat the crap out of a fringe 147lb journeyman (M Hatton) for their 154lb title. Then he defends vs 4 absolute no hopers and once again Suliaman and the other crooks at the WBC do nothing. Now he's gonna defend the WBC 154lb title vs a 140lb contender. And once again the scum at the WBC allow it. Whats next? Maybe there's a good 126lber that needs a title shot. While this crap goes on there's lots of 154lb contenders who can't get title opportunities they've earned. If Alvarez is indeed a good fighter, WTF are Golden Boy and the WBC so afraid of? As long as this kind of crap continues, this great sport will never again be main stream

Don't know about the rest of you, but Im so sick of hearing about Canelo this and Canelo that. When will he ever fight a true 154 pounder? How can he even be a champ if he never fought a true 154 lb'er?

Not saying the WBC is right but I don't think the commission should be allowing this fight. Thought they were supposed to look out for the fighters' health and safety?

We're all waiting for that day bro... patiently waiting. And I think when that day comes it's gonna be a shot he doesn't deserve (Floyd or Cotto). I truly believe he will fight one of those 2 guys before even going thru the other guys in the division.
