    Should Ward leave Dan Goosen?

Dont get me wrong, Goosen has done a good job with Ward.. but not great..
I mean Ward is JUST NOW, fighting a meaningful fight on HBO PPV.. This should have happened several years ago..

I think if Ward were with Top Rank or especially Golden Boy Ward would be a household name already. Instead if Ward went to the mall NO ONE would know who he is outside of a handful of people.. I mean compare Broner at 23 vs Ward at 23, Broner is MUCH more popular.. But anyway, good luck to Ward vs Dawson, I hope.

Maybe Im overestimating TP and GB, who knows. But I think Ward is a 1 of a kind type of fighter.. I think Floyd, Ward and maybe even Broner are special..

I don't think it's that, while I find Ward entertaining to watch not many casuals do, on top of that he's genuinely mellow, not nearly as controversial or as vocal as Broner.

Ward doesn't have that cross over appeal that a promoter simply can't give to a fighter. Ward is a great fighter, but doesn't have the over all charisma like a Floyd, Leonard that transcends outside the ring, and isn't an overly exciting fighter in the ring that drives people to buy tickets and buy PPVs.

            absolutely not-andre ward voice

why should he, gossen has done wonders with his career up until now. he will never be a mega star, but thats ok. hes gonna be getting payed for the forseeable future. even if he were to lose to dawson, it owuldnt be a loss that would kill his stock to any serious point. ward is doing a ok right where hes at.

This is a joke right? Goosen outmanuevered all the other promotors in the S6 by getting homefield throughout the tournament as the only one. And now Goosen gets the LHW champion to not ony move down 7 lbs but also has him fighting in Wards backyard!

That's a damn fine job done.

GBP and Top Rank would definitely give him more exposure and hype him up a lot more. Call him the greatest fighter since Sugar Ray Robinson and give HBO dates. Goosen doesn't even promote Andre Ward one bit. Where are the Goosen interviews hyping up his fighter? A promoter is also a hypeman, Ward doesn't have that.

The fight is not on PPV. He just fought in the Super Six and he had the coverage that a young fighter needs to showcase his talent.

If you watch the stars in this sports, they are in the lower weights. So being a technical boxer in higher weights is not going to compete with exciting guys in lower weights. TR and GBP attack the same market and unfortunately for guys like Ward and Dawson, they dont have a big market to sell their image in the product. TR was able to sell Pavlik. The demographic for Pavlik were different that the demographic for Ward and Dawson. That is why you dont see TR and GBP signing many of them when they know those guys are talented.
