Pascal set the blueprint on how to beat Dawson..
Basically control the distance with your legs, taking away Chads jab
Make Chad come after you, then jump in with combos or quick punch as Chads defense is mediocre at best..

Ward is gonna control the distance, jump in with lead rights and then clinch, rough a weakened Dawson up on the inside, the refs breaks it up and Ward does it over and over and over again as Dawson is too dumb to adjust..

How do you know that it wasn't just Pascal's style that made him look that bad? appeared that way to me, Chad doesn't have that warrior mentality.

Pascal is by far the quickest opponent he has ever fought and he made Chad look pedestrian at times.

Hopkins is quicker than Pascal. He was beating him to the punch in all 24 rounds they fought. Hopkins looked 25 against Pascal. Pascal looked really slow.

Hopkins is by far better defensively than Pascal.

They say Ward is a young Hopkins.

Dawson clearly beat Hopkins, and was clearly faster. Hopkins inside tricks didn't faze Dawson as much as people thought it would. Dawson will surprise everyone, especially those who think that Ward is going to come in there and swing wildly like Pascal did. Ward is going to fight at a pace that's going to suit Dawson. Also, those who think Dawson is just going to stand there like Allan Green while Ward leans on his chest. The comparisons people are making don't make any sense, because Ward has never fought any one like Dawson, and Ward is not Pascal either, not nearly as powerful. Pascal knocked down Hopkins and legitimately hurt him, he was also pushing Dawson back with his punches. Ward can't do that, he doesn't hit that hard. Dawson has seen a similar style to Ward's, in Hopkins. While Ward hasn't.

Don't be surprised when Chad outboxes Ward. You keep seeing the Pascal fight and think Ward is gonna fight like Pascal and hit like him, and Dawson is gonna fight like that. Not gonna happen.

I am going to say it again and I may appear as a buffoon but I have a terrible feeling that Dawson will be unable to make weight. That's a lot of weight to shed from his large frame that had little fat to begin with. I'm no expert but it smells like disaster.
