watch Dawson-Tarver II....Chad shows off his inside game in that fight....thats how I expect him to beat up Ward as well....SOG is a winner, he's gonna be tough to beat but IMO, Chad has a tough enough style and skillset to get the job done....maybe I'm in the minority on this....but I don't see how Chad can lose this fight if all is well with the weight

Watching Dawson Pascal again, I really think Ward is gonna do a number on Chad.

i mean i watched atleast 20 of dawsons fights, some of them over and over again and pascal is the single worst performance of his entire career by far. in fact its more than just a poor perfromance, it wasnt even him. dawson didnt show up for that fight, if you followed his career and know what hes capable of you would see that too. we all know chad had a bunch of personal and proffessional problems going into that fight and it got to him.

you cant just look at any single fight and take too much away from it, especially if the fighter in question is underperforming. you cant assume chad will underperform against ward. on top of that the fight was a couple of years ago and chad had improved since.


what if i judged ward on his worst performance? the ward who fought bika wouldnt stand a chance against dawson. ward barely won that fight and bika isnt even on dawsons level. again its not fair to judge him at his worst. look at dawson against tarver or the johnson rematch, that version of chad is a handfull for anyone. hell look at adamek, harding, mendoza or ruiz.. any of his fights other than pascal.

ofcourse ward would beat chad at his worst and vice versa. but expect them both to show up come the 8th. at his best dawson is better than ward.

Dawson poses too much, while Ward is constantly busy. I think Dawson is in for a surprise.

Dawson should beat the smaller man, but this is my problem. I have watched Ward adjust and follow through in many fights. At the same time I keep remembering the Pascal fight, where Dawson took way too long to adjust to Pascal and lost the fight.
Their ability to adjust and follow through of Ward is his best tool and will be the difference in this fight.

Dawson can definitely handle himself. He's been here before and can thrive with experience and skills. The lost to pascal was a blessing in disguise. Personally, I was one of the few that think dirrel was gifted and talented enough to beat ward. I'd even say that Chad vs dirrell would have been a tougher match to call. Dawson will win by split decision. (assuming that the home town doesn't screw him over)

I've seen Chad too many times look like he doesnt want to be in the ring during certain points in a fight and i've seen guys take the fight to him and throw him completely off. Dawson cant fight like he has a vagina like he did against Pascal or he will lose.

Im picking Andre Ward because to me he's like a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Joe Montana, Tiger Woods (before the drama) he's a winner, knows how to win and will do what he has to do to get a W. You cant teach that or train against that.
