I still see Jr pummelling Martinez to a KO if he makes the weight (a repeat of Margarito fight).
Martinez is a "never has been"? WTF are you going on about? hahaha

Martinez has been the best lb for lb fighter in the world arguably, world champ and has made more money than Jr. If anyone is hungrier it's Jr because he has more to prove. All you read is thread after thread and story after story of how this kid is a bum and will never be like his father.

For me, Jr being at 176 this far out of the fight means he's training hard and taking this seriously. I still give the edge to Martinez but this could turn out to be a much better fight than first thought.

Also, he has carried his power, speed, chin, stamina up to MW. It's not like he walks around in the mid 160's, the guy probably walks around at 180+. He's rated the best @ 160 for a reason, he is the best Middle Weight.

Jr on the other hand is probably about the biggest you can get at Middle without having to move up and yes, he normally has an advantage of being supremely bigger than his opponent on fight night.
This is exactly why I have issues with folks that try to say these Welterweights should fight Martinez. He is too damn big! How are the blind to these huge weights?

          LOL, are you joking?

In his last fight against Macklin, Sergio weighed in 2.5 pounds under the MW limit.

In his fight before that against Barker, he weighed in 2 pounds under the MW limit, and on fight night stepped on HBO's scales at 165.

Dude is small for MW. Why the hell are you trying to argue otherwise.
